Our stay at Wish Cottage was excellent value for money. The cottage was beautifully decorated with charming old features and had everything we needed for a comfortable self-catering experience. The location was ideal for exploring the downs and surrounding areas, and we enjoyed the convenience of having two friendly and delicious pubs within walking distance. The host was incredibly helpful, providing us with check-in and parking information, and even leaving welcome treats for us, which was a lovely touch.
Breakfast choices could be improved with a wider variety of options.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a delightful little cottage tucked away in a quiet location near the South Downs. From the moment I arrived, I knew that Wish Cottage would be a special place. The cottage itself was small but perfectly formed, with beautiful brickwork and charming beams that gave it a sense of history. Inside, it was wonderfully cosy, especially with the log/gas burner filling the room with warmth. The cottage had everything I could possibly need, and I particularly appreciated the well-equipped kitchen. It had all the necessary tools and utensils for cooking, although I must admit I didn't make use of them as I enjoyed dining out at the nearby pub and Thai restaurant.
Speaking of the local area, I found the location of Wish Cottage to be excellent. There were two dog-friendly pubs within a stone's throw, The Red Lion and The Wheatsheaf, which made grabbing a drink or a meal incredibly convenient.

The cottage had a warm and cosy atmosphere, with easy heating and good lighting. the shallow stairs and railings made it accessible for my elderly mother. We appreciated the generous host who provided lots of towels, toilet rolls, and even a welcome bottle of wine and chocolates. the cottage had a smart TV, allowing us to relax and watch movies with a glass of wine in hand.
Parking was a bit of a challenge, as it required finding a spot down the road and occasionally causing traffic delays when unloading. Some of the pans in the kitchen could use updating, as the non-stick surface was a bit worn.

The cottage had a nice rustic charm and the cozy fireplace added to the romantic atmosphere. We enjoyed exploring the nearby hiking trails and spending time in the lovely garden. the hosts were attentive and provided us with a thoughtful welcome gift upon arrival.
The kitchen amenities were a bit outdated, especially the non-stick pans, which made cooking a bit frustrating. parking was a hassle as there wasn't enough space on the street and we had to park quite far away.

The location of the cottage was ideal for exploring the downs and the surrounding area. There were two local pubs within walking distance that offered excellent food and a friendly atmosphere. the cottage itself was clean, warm, and had all the necessary amenities for a self-catering property. the front room provided ample storage space and there was even a hairdryer provided ' use.
One minor inconvenience was the limited hanging space in the back bedroom, as well as the creaky beds.

The location was convenient with two pubs and a shop nearby, although a bit far from Eastbourne center. The cottage had all the amenities we needed and was cozy, clean, and warm.
